The community is building the world’s biggest shoe mountain in Canada’s National Capital with collections from your closet, and with the help of shoe manufacturers and local retailers to support Soles4Souls worthwhile cause!
Donating a pair of shoes helps erase the stigma of poverty, stops wounds that easily become dangerously infected and ends scrapes and injuries to the feet of destitute children and families.
Worldwide, more than 300 million children are without shoes, and many die due to untreated wounds that are easily preventable with a pair of shoes.

Drop-off locations
Bring your gently used shoe contributions to any of The Canadian Tulip Festival ’s four activity sites , May 1st through May 18th. Look for the designated collection points under the Soles4Souls tents.
- At Shoe Mountain, located in Major’s Hill Park behind the Chateau Laurier Hotel
- Outside City Hall on Laurier Avenue W., beside the Festival’s Magic Mirror Tent
- At the Festival’s International Pavilion, on Queen Elisabeth Drive by Lansdowne Park just south of Fifth Avenue
- In Commissioner’s Park at Dow’s Lake
You can also bring your contributions to us at the historic Union Station, opposite the Chateau Laurier, on May 8th and 9th, 2009.
